Why I Started "Palette Guesser"
The journey of building this project - and how you can help shape it!
I’ve always been fascinated by colors—the way they blend, contrast, and evoke emotions. As someone who enjoys drawing, I often found myself captivated by the colors in the world around me. But I also love technology, and as I started my career as a software engineer, I realized I could build something that combined both passions.
Palette Guesser started as a personal curiosity. I often came across beautiful images and wished I could easily extract and save their color palettes. At the same time, I wondered—how well do we actually recognize colors? Could we train our perception while having fun? I wanted to create a space where people could both discover colors and challenge themselves with them.
This is the first project I’m developing from the ground up. Along the way, I am lucky to have friends who believe in the idea and have offered their support and mentorship. But what truly makes this project special is you. Your feedback, your interactions, and your excitement help shape Palette Guesser, making it more interactive and engaging with every step.
Palette Guesser is a platform for anyone who appreciates color—whether you’re a designer, an artist, or just someone who loves exploring beautiful visuals. You can extract color palettes, test your perception with a guessing game, and build your own collection of favorites.
What started as a small idea has the potential to become something many people can enjoy as much as I do. This is just the beginning, and I can’t wait to see where it goes next!
